The heart of our sustainability concept is the combination of a long-lasting glass jar and material-saving refills.
Our amber glass jar is the permanent home for your tooth powder: sturdy, reusable and refillable again and again. The amber glass also protects the contents from light. Once purchased, it accompanies you through many refills.
Refilling is done from our refill pouch made of PE mono-material: both the film and the resealable zip closure are made entirely of polyethylene (PE). Unlike conventional composite packaging made of several barely separable plastic layers, our pouch is designed for recyclability from the ground up – rated as readily recyclable under the RecyClass standard. A fine, integrated barrier layer keeps the powder dry and fresh without compromising recyclability.
Why the pouch instead of a new jar? A light refill pouch needs considerably less material than a solid container with every purchase. Combined with the long-lasting glass jar you get the best of both: a high-quality, reusable vessel and a resource-saving refill. More about this on our blog →
We also pay attention to the ecological footprint when shipping. We send in recyclable cardboard packaging with plastic-free paper filling material – enough protection for your products, without unnecessary waste.
We deliberately choose the packaging size to match the contents. Instead of sending large boxes with lots of air, we rely on compact, light and at the same time sturdy packaging. That saves material and transport weight.
Shipping is more climate-friendly with DHL GoGreen: the CO₂ emissions associated with shipping are offset through certified climate protection projects.
Our production runs on solar power. This way we reduce the CO₂ footprint right where our products are made, and make our company a little more sustainable.
