How we are revolutionizing the world of toothpaste
As you may know, Dentafari started as a passion project and quickly turned into a four-year obsession to create the best natural toothpaste on the market. With that being said, Dentafari's story, mission and operations are very personal, something you won't find with many toothpaste brands.
For us, "family-run" is not a marketing gimmick. It's a commitment... and one that we are proud of and happy to uphold.
Especially in a society that is constantly moving towards automation, artificial intelligence, cost reduction and acceleration... we are proud that our manufacturing processes are simple, down-to-earth and people-driven.
Why is that important?
While machines have opened up a whole new world of possibilities for consumer goods, we've found that keeping processes simple and human-powered inspires us to minimize our environmental footprint and promote conscious consumption every day. It also reminds us to slow down and remember how Dentafari got started.
With the help of family members, Dentafari was run entirely by a very close-knit team and we are proud to say that this is still the case today.
Alena and Christoph, founders of Dentafari, are still closely involved with the day-to-day operations. This minimal, family-oriented mindset not only ensures that our business is run by people and close-knit, but also that we honestly support the German economy and overall sustainability.
This is particularly exceptional in the world of toothpaste... especially natural toothpaste. Dentafari is one of only a few natural dental care companies that is not part of a multinational corporation. In our four-year search for the best natural toothpaste, we spoke to many suppliers in the industry and found that most of the big companies (and some smaller ones) use many ingredients from outside Europe. However, they claim to be 'Made in Germany' because they import the ingredients here.
But our strong desire to keep things down-to-earth and close-knit has led us to challenge this norm. That's why 98% of our ingredients come from Europe, and our dental care is made in our small production facility in Brandenburg.
"Of course we don't know what the future will look like in 40, 50 or 60 years, but we can develop a vision of what we would like the future to look like and we can start acting in that direction today"- Alan Key, am. computer scientist.
